About Us

Club meetings are on the first Wednesday of every month  from 7.00pm to 10.00pm in the Mead Hall Wheathampstead.
The meetings are generally based around a workshop, talk or demonstration from club members or guest speakers. Members are encouraged to bring their trees to the workshops where advice and guidance is always available.

​The club also runs a table show at most meetings where members can display their trees in all stages of Bonsai development, here they are judged, given advice and awarded points which go towards winning the clubs Rose Bowl Trophy and the RHS Banksian Medal. 
During the Pandemic, the table show competition went virtual’, photographs of members trees were submitted and displayed on this website. The virtual tableshow archive

Throughout the year the club holds occasional weekend workshops, displays at public events and licenced tree collecting expeditions.

The Clubs Annual Show held in June (see Annual Program for dates) showcases the work of members, and the availability of the hobby.

The club regularly exhibits at external shows, such as the Heathrow Bonsai Show.
